Decorative table numbers

A simple accent can add such a special touch to your tables at your next event. Decorative table numbers are the perfect addition. It’s easy to create a theme that ties into the invitations, table numbers, and event decor. Here are a few examples that look great in picture frames and in table number holders.

Free Halloween Flag Decor!

Ready for Halloween? Decorate your home for the holidays with a little added flare! I love decorating the house for the holidays and created this mini Halloween bunting flag that I wanted to share with you. You can download the file for free here so you can decorate your own home. Hang it over your mantle, above the front door, up the staircase or anywhere you choose. Print out the pdf on cardstock, cut out the flags and glue onto twine or ribbon.

What you’ll need:

  • Cardstock
  • Color printer
  • Scissors/x-acto knife
  • Glue Stick
  • Twine/Ribbon

How to:

  • Print onto cardstock paper. (I glued mine onto a second sheet of cardstock to make it a little thicker)
  • Cut flags with scissors or x-acto knife.
  • Glue twine or ribbon to back of the flags.
  • Press firmly and let dry.

Hope you have fun with these!

5 favorites friday

Are you ready for the long weekend? Any big plans? We have a good friends wedding to go to on sun and hoping to relax and enjoy some beachtime too. (I definitely need to get a little color so I don’t look like casper)

Reina. I am absolutely in loooove with this font! Everything about it, the curves, the feel, the swashes… {ahh swoon}

This is the life… Absolute calming relaxation. I think I’m going to have to get this poster from AllPosters.com and continue to dream.

Mini Bunting! This is super cute and such a great DIY project idea from How About Orange. They used pretty masking tape and the best part is when you get tired of the design just peel it off and make a new one.

Delicate envelopes. design.mein has a great step by step guide to creating these envelopes out of doily’s. I’m definitely going to have to try these out.

Colorful decorations. Everyday Celebrating shows an easy DIY wreath created out of those little drink umbrellas. What a clever idea!

I hope you’re having a great friday and enjoy the long weekend!

Fall decor

After some searching I found the perfect fall welcome man for our front door. I had been seeing these scarecrows all around as decorations and love how cute and friendly they looked but hadn’t been able to find the store that was actually selling them. Finally among my errands yesterday the Michael’s by my house actually had them. Yeah! He’s a very cute welcome to warm up our entrance.

Scarecrow

I always seem to be searching for something as last year my search was for a Welcome sign. The only one we had has little snowmen on it and it just wasn’t working to leave it up year round (which we did anyway since we didn’t have a replacement at the time). Don’t mind the old door though as that will be a project for next year to either refinish or replace it.

Welcome Sign

One of things I miss from homes up north are fireplaces and mantels. Chris from Just a Girl always has the cutest decorations and her new mantel is just as cute as ever! I absolutely love the witch silhouette (below) and her whole scene fits perfectly together (I’m still a bit mismatched).

Previously I had made this wood block which I painted and then used some of my scrapbook items to create a fall collage. I still have a few other blocks to create when I get some free time. I’ll definitely have to finish them up since Snoopy looks a little out of place here… haha.

Fall

Oh and I found a perfect mini man to go along with my welcome scarecrow for indoors (of course I notice now that I have to remove the label).

Share the fun! Leave a comment, I’d love to see what you’re doing.
Happy fall!
