Loving Paper Punches!
I have never been able to cut a circle smooth and straight even if I have traced around a circle and tried to cut on that line. I’ve even tried to trace around the object with an exacto blade and it still wouldn’t be smooth. Ok so I must have issues using scissors but now that I’ve found circle paper punches… problem solved! I picked one of the other day and it makes a perfect circle every time yeah! I also found a great small flower and corner punch and I’ve been having so much fun playing around with these. Here’s a set of handmade cards I created with the paper punches and I can’t wait to play and make some more. You can find these over at my Etsy shop.
Thanks for visiting!
Creative Souls Telesummit
I’m so excited to participate in a new telesummit beginning today! It’s the Creative Souls Telesummit which begins today and will be going through May 20th. They have 13 speakers lined up along with bonus speakers that have lots of creative wisdom to share.
I think this is going to be a great way to learn from the best creative minds. Sometimes we all need to regain our focus so we can go forward with our creative plans and live out our passions.
This is an amazing free event so come and check it out!
Have you heard of Pinterest? I just did the other day and it’s so addictive and I have already gotten lost finding all kinds of unique goodies. So much fun although it’s kind of hard to describe. The best way I can put it is that it’s like a virtual inspiration board taken from sources all over the web. You can make “boards” or groups and then “pin” things to them. Same concept as if you were pinning a great idea onto your bulletin board. You can re-pin things that others have pinned, leave comments, follow people and “like” things.
It’s super addictive but it’s giving me great inspiration for some projects I’d like to try out.
Pinterest is in beta right now, so you need an invite if you want to start pinning yourself. Need an invite? Just let me know. Here’s mine to check out! Let me know if you’re on too, I’d love to check out your pins!
Have a great weekend =)
Delicious Coffee and Design
I love coffee or should I better rephrase that as I live on coffee haha! I tend to work a lot between my multiple jobs but I’m also known for getting involved in a craft project and before I know it it’ll be the wee hours of the morning. Does this happen to you too? Last week I had a surprise gift of coffee and it came in the most adorable packaging! Of course I had to take a few pics and I played around with the FxCamera for the Android. The Warhol version is fun but my favorite was the warm vignette setting through the ToyCam.
Hope your week is going well!

Unique Small Notebooks
I’m always coming up with ideas at odd times and end up writing things down on small pieces of paper, napkins or anything I can get a hold of. Instead of always losing where I wrote something I used to carry around a notebook with me and since I had used all of those up I decided what a perfect time to make a new one for myself. I haven’t been scrapbooking as much recently so I pulled out all of my papers and once I finished making a notebook for myself I completely got inspired to continue. After sifting through different patterns and layouts these are the first ones that I put together and are available in my Etsy shop.
Did anyone create anything new this weekend?

We all scream for ice cream =)
A couple of us were standing outside after lunch enjoying the beautiful warm day we are having, when all of a sudden we heard that familiar musical jingle instantly recognizable from when we were kids. But wait… this is a business complex so we must be hearing things. Walking back into the building everyone was looking out the windows and it was true! The ice cream truck was sitting outside our office, what a surprising treat! I got a chocolate ice cream cone with rainbow sprinkles. Perfect way to get some energy for the rest of the day. Had to share a pic before I ate it. This was taken with my phone and edited with the PicSay Pro app.
Hope you’re having a “sweet” afternoon =)
Paisley Fun
How was everyone’s weekend? We were welcomed to some beautifully sunny 90 degree days. Started Saturday morning watching the sunrise before running in a fun little 5k on the beach. Sunday turned into lots of errands and then a productive day creating a few new card designs. This paisley design came out fun and playful and I used some spring colors to brighten things up.
Keeping with the spring/summer theme I created this simple elegant butterfly card.
These are both available in my Etsy Shop. Hope you have a great week!
Viva Las Vegas!
A few weeks ago we had a wonderful well-needed vacation out in Vegas. My brother and sister-in-law met us out there and we had a fantastic visit. We stayed just off the strip which was perfect to have some quiet restful evenings but still close enough to enjoy the night life.
We took a couple evenings to walk the strip and we still didn’t see everything! You don’t realize how big all the hotels and properties are until you start walking and next thing you know you’ve walked quite a few miles. We had heard great things about the fountain show outside the Bellagio so we stayed and watched quite a few of the shows as each one is different and set to different music. My brother described them as water fireworks which is fitting with some of the explosive finishes.
Each hotel has a set theme based upon where their location is created after such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris. So creative and so much fun to see everything. The Venetian had a gorgeous vaulted ceiling painted like the Sistine Chapel and a cute Gondola ride going around the hotel as well as one going through the hotel. Of course my sister-in-law and I had to convince the guys to do this but we loved it!
There was still so much more to see and do that we ran out of time for but all the more reason to plan another trip and go back!
